Her music can be described as atmospheric indie pop with broad vocal harmonies and mesmerising rhythms. Matilda Maschuw's sometimes deep and breathy, sometimes high and clear and always unique voice is at the centre of the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist's work.

Matilda Maschuw has been making music since her earliest childhood. She acquired a taste for music through her father, who is a musician himself and introduced her to the rock and progressive music of the 60s and 70s. She learnt to play the piano at the age of six and the guitar at twelve. However, her voice is and remains her most important instrument.
