Biography

He is a singer-songwriter, teacher and also a father. Carnival Kid is so named because his son was born on 11 November at 11.11 a.m. in 2009. While the carnival season simply begins for carnival revellers, a whole new phase of life begins for Christian - and a promising solo project. Musically, he places himself, as he says himself, ‘somewhere between fist-in-the-air anthems and relaxed bedroom pop’. His songs describe a man trying to do his duty in life; they are partly funny, partly thought-provoking.

In 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, Christian founded the ‘Regionale Küche’ project. The former joint playlist for Thuringian musicians develops into an artist network with around 200 members.
